Lesson 2
I went to my teacher's room again, of course for questions, not for coffee and dark chocolate.
"Graduation was easy decades ago," I said "but why we have a much harder time before graduation?"
My beloved teacher answered "Ah! In my first year in this school, my students all graduated easily except one, but perhaps he was a special case. You know that the program is useless, and so was that student, he wanted to stay longer in school. But no one can do nothing staying here! He tried several times to improve his dissertation. I have told him twice, 'it is good! You can graduate,' but he refused. Eventually, he's studied too much on infinity in mathematics that he went crazy. Knowing that he could not work on the program again, I granted him the degree, and he name was erased from my student list.
Since that crazy student, more and more students wanted to stay in the program, but they somehow followed the path of the one before them. Some were found dead killing themselves in their dorms, some were ill working too early in the morning (before noon), they all have had finished their work, but they refused to graduate. And for you my dear student, if you want to extend your study you must have a harder topic to continue, but do not be greedy! You will not spend more than enough time in the program.
Enjoy your studies! Do all you can! For you know now extending your study gives you no free enjoyable time - there is a cost! Pain and fear you must go through for your enjoyable extended study! Much pain there is! Much danger there will be until you graduate!"
"And so I should prepare either for graduation with the useless certificate - there is actually no certificate - or prepare to go through the pain and fear for the extended study period. This program is indeed a difficult one!"
"Good! Now take another cup of black coffee and some 85% dark chocolate with me. It's tea time!"
