Part 1:
An introduction. A student of theology (Ted) ask his pastor for advices on the planning of his career, marriage and ministry. These three areas are those most believers seek advices from their pastors. If not three, perhaps two-and-a-half. Without studying the dialogues in depth, this part should be treated as a daily-life example, and a practical recommendation of the content of this book.
Defenders of the traditional view, which the author will critique, believe there are three uses of "will of God": (1) Sovereign Will (SW) that rules everything in the universe; (2) Moral Will (MW) that humans should follow; and (3) "Individual Will" (IW) that plans the path of life for every human being.
Part 2: (Questions and Notes, will be rewritten later)
p. 43 - Does Gal 4:11 suggests that believers are independent from IW or Mosaic Law? For me, the context of the Epistle to the Galatians suggests that the "tutor" (cf. Gal 3:23-29) is the Mosaic Law. Can the Mosaic Law be IW? Certainly not. Mosaic Law is clearly normative, perhaps MW, while IW is not normative.
p.47 - What exactly is a special believer? For example is the special believer Hudson Taylor who preached in China or his mother Amelia who, without her Hudson does not, pray for the faith that Hudson affirms?
